Jericha Peterson, LISW-CP
Founder/Therapist

Greetings and Salutations!

I'm Jericha Peterson (she/her), the founder of Generational Healing and Wellness, LLC. I have been fascinated by human behavior for as long as I can remember — curious about how our thoughts, emotions, and life experiences shape the way we show up in the world.
Through both professional training and personal healing, I’ve come to understand how much of what we carry is layered: stories passed down, traumas we didn’t choose, and survival patterns we’ve learned to normalize. I approach therapy through a trauma-informed, psychodynamic lens, always honoring the full context of who you are and what you've survived.

As a BIPOC clinician, I know what it’s like to come from a community where therapy hasn’t always been accessible, accepted, or encouraged. I’ve also sat on the other side of the chair — as a client — and I know how vulnerable, transformative, and sacred this work can be.
I’m committed to creating a culturally sensitive and identity-affirming space, especially for people of color, where healing is possible and purpose can be reclaimed.

Therapeutic Approach
I offer therapy through a trauma-informed, psychodynamic lens, helping clients explore how past experiences, relationships, and generational patterns influence how they think, feel, and function today.
My work is individualized and draws from TF-CBT to support emotional regulation, thought processing, and practical coping strategies. I also provide perinatal mental health support for those navigating postpartum adjustment, identity shifts, and parenting challenges.

As a BIPOC clinician, I approach therapy with a strong commitment to cultural responsiveness, honoring the unique intersections of identity, family history, and systemic influences. My goal is to provide a safe, supportive space where clients can heal, build insight, and move toward purposeful change.
"When we heal ourselves, we heal the next generation that follows. Pain is passed through the family line until someone is ready to feel it, heal it, and let go. ~Phoebe Garnsworthy
